Woodbury™ Town Center in Irvine kicks off Friday Night Flix
Bring your lawn chairs and blankets for family-friendly movies under the stars beginning Oct. 7
IRVINE, Calif., (Oct. 4, 2016) — Woodbury Town Center in Irvine kicks off its 4th annual “Friday Night Flix”—a month-long series of free family-friendly movies on the lawn—beginning Oct.7.
“This has become a really popular annual event for the community, and we’re excited to bring it back for families to enjoy year after year,” said Easther Liu, chief marketing officer for Irvine Company Retail Properties. “This year, movie-goers will be able to enjoy a freshly renovated lawn along with a brand new children’s play area.”
Disney’s animated hit “Zootopia” will screen on Oct. 7, followed by “Angry Birds” on Oct. 14 and “Jungle Book” (2016) on October 21. “Minions” will close out the series on Oct. 28. Movies will begin at 7 p.m.
From 5 p.m. to closing, families are welcome to enjoy convenient picnic dinner specials from participating local eateries such as Shin Sen Gumi, Chipotle, The Counter Burger, First Class Pizza, Subway and Casey’s Cupcakes.
Entertainment for children will also be provided at 5 p.m., including a DJ, face painting, balloon twisters, various arts and crafts and appearances by the Chick-fil-A Cow.
Because movie night is not complete without popcorn, Woodbury Town Center has partnered with the Irvine Public Schools Foundation to provide $1 bags of popcorn or water to guests. Proceeds from the sales will be donated to the foundation to benefit local Irvine public schools.
