Womble Bond Dickinson relocating to 400 Spectrum Center Drive
IRVINE, Calif. (November 5, 2018) — Irvine Company announced today that Womble Bond Dickinson, LLP, a transatlantic law firm with more than 1,000 lawyers across the U.S. and U.K., has leased about 17,700 square feet at 400 Spectrum Center Drive, which is approximately 70 percent leased.
The law firm is moving its Orange County headquarters from Pacific Arts Plaza in Costa Mesa to accommodate its growth. The firm plans to move in April 2019.
“We’re excited to add a leading global law firm like Womble Bond Dickinson to the list of forward-thinking companies choosing 400 Spectrum Center Drive,” said Tom Greubel, vice president, Irvine Company Office Properties. “We are thrilled to be in a position to offer flexibility to meet the growing office space needs of our customers.”
400 Spectrum Center is located in the center of Irvine Spectrum, one of California’s most successful live-work-play communities. It is adjacent to a variety of housing choices and Irvine Spectrum Center, which offers 1.2 million square feet of retail, restaurant and entertainment options.
“We are excited about our new Orange County office, which was necessitated by the office’s recent growth. We believe this new location will help us recruit and retain the industry’s top legal professionals, which in turn allows us to provide our clients with the best possible service. The new office also demonstrates that Womble Bond Dickinson is committed to Orange County and Southern California,” said Betty Temple, Womble Bond Dickinson’s CEO and Chair.
Both 200 and 400 Spectrum Center offer two Irvine Company signature amenities: The Commons, an open air gathering place featuring casual workspaces, an outdoor living room and complimentary Wi-Fi; and KINETIC, which blends a state-of-the-art onsite fitness center and wellness services, and is across the street from the St. Joseph Hoag Health Wellness Corner at The Village apartment homes. Showers, lockers and covered bicycle storage enable outdoor fitness as well as easy commuting by bike.
The towers feature the sleek, modern design of world-renowned architect Pei Cobb Freed & Partners, with 10-foot, floor-to-ceiling glass providing superior natural light and unobscured 360-degree views that make the buildings stunning from inside and out. 200 Spectrum Center, which opened last year, is fully leased.
As a long-term owner who continuously reinvests, Irvine Company has evolved the traditional office to something much more: vibrant workplace communities. A place where collaboration is encouraged and creativity is enabled to elevate business success. The Company owns and manages 150 premier workplace communities in Orange County, Los Angeles, Silicon Valley and San Diego, as well as iconic trophy towers in Chicago and New York. The portfolio includes 50 million square feet with more than 3,000 customers in a wide range of industries. Its timeless design and quality craftsmanship is consistent with its long-term view and pride of ownership.
