The Resort at Pelican Hill presents holiday season celebrations

Kris Kringle Story Time Mingle
Santa’s parking his sleigh and setting up shop in the Main Estate Lobby, where he’ll be reading stories, taking photos and delighting kids of all ages. Gather ‘round the gingerbread display for three story times at 3 p.m., 4 p.m. and 5 p.m., and be sure to stick around during intermission to take photos and visit with jolly old St. Nick.
Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays from November 25 through December 24, 2016 beginning at 3 p.m.; complimentary for guests and locals.
Children’s Gingerbread House Decorating
Pelican Hill’s Pastry Chef highlights a favorite holiday tradition in this culinary class. Children ages 5 and older will enjoy lunch and create a masterpiece to take home. Parent supervision is required throughout the class for all children ages 10 and younger.

Bedtime Stories with Santa’s Helpers
Every child dreams of Santa’s visit, and his little helpers are a step ahead of jolly St. Nick this holiday season. As Santa prepares for his big night back at the North Pole, his elves are bringing joy to all the good boys and girls staying at Pelican Hill. As a special treat for our young guests, Santa’s elves will stop by your Bungalow or Villa with a bedtime story, milk and cookies.

Santa Calls
Santa Claus has a special treat for kids this holiday season. During the week leading up to Christmas, St. Nick himself will call your room with a personalized greeting sure to surprise and delight. And the best part? We’ll cover the long distance charges from the North Pole—your personalized call from Santa is included in your stay.

Yuletide Tea
The holidays are Santa’s cup of tea, and we’re thrilled he’ll be joining us in the Great Room Social Lounge all season long for a modern twist on the time-honored tradition of gathering for afternoon tea. Sip contemporary blends featuring classic selections and emerging tea markets while you nosh on savory and sweet small bites. Tea-based cocktails and sparkling wines available à la carte.
Available Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays from 2 to 5 p.m. from November 25 through December 25 for $65* per adult; $40* per child under age 12 and complimentary bomboloncini and hot cocoa for children under age 4.
Holiday Caffè & Market
For holiday gatherings and gifting, shop a variety of gourmet gift baskets, seasonally inspired Resort-made gelatos, pastries, panettone, seasonal treats and other holiday desserts prepared fresh daily. Custom cakes and desserts may be ordered in advance for holiday entertaining.

Christmas at Pelican Grill
Chef Luke presents a California prix fixe Christmas Eve dinner from 5 to 10 p.m. Live entertainers perform in the lounge from 6:30 to 10 p.m. On Christmas Day, enjoy a California grill three-course menu from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., as well as a limited regular menu and special lounge menu.

Hanukkah Feasts
Celebrate the Festival of Lights with lunch and dinner specials. Coliseum Pool & Grill serves up traditional Hanukkah dishes, such as braised brisket, crispy latkes and baked kugel. Does not include kosher cuisine.

New Year’s at Pelican Grill & Lounge
Chef Luke creates a California grill four-course prix fixe menu, available from 5 to 10 p.m. Celebrate in the Lounge with dancing, entertainment by a live band from 9 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. and a midnight balloon drop marking the New Year, including a complimentary glass of Prosecco for each guest! The Lounge also serves up a special New Year’s Eve menu. On New Year’s Day from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., Chef Luke presents a special New Year’s Day football viewing Lounge menu.

New Year’s at Coliseum Pool & Grill
Savor a celebration of à la carte chef’s special selections and s three-piece band from 7 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. with a midnight balloon drop and complimentary Prosecco toast. On New Year’s Day, Chef Oscar features a special breakfast buffet with smoked salmon, shrimp and a ribeye carving station.
