Acclaimed Sichuan restaurant Meizhou Dongpo set to open at Culver Plaza Shopping Center
The upscale concept, which specializes in bold Sichuan cuisine – is poised to become a Chinese culinary powerhouse with its first Orange County location
IRVINE, Calif. (January 2016) – Meizhou Dongpo, an acclaimed Sichuan eatery with locations in Los Angeles and China, will open its first Orange County location this year. At 6,000-square-feet, Meizhou Dongpo will be an upscale, sit-down restaurant serving flavorful and fiery cuisine, with an expansive menu that will include dan dan noodles, pan-fried pork dumplings and its famous house special, the table-side carved Meizhou roasted duck, all in a modern setting.
“We’re excited to bring such a distinguished and innovative concept to Orange County and especially to our Irvine community,” said Easther Liu, chief marketing officer for Irvine Company Retail Properties. “Meizhou Dongpo will be a great fit to the center and neighborhood.”
Currently, Culver Plaza Shopping Center is also home to Little Sheep Mongolian Hot Pot, Sam Woo, J.J. Bakery Cafe, Tasty Noodle House, Tea Station and a 99 Ranch Market.
The restaurant is slated to open late fall.
