Acclaimed Sessions West Coast Deli to open at Woodbridge Village Center in Irvine
A favorite among food critics, Sessions Sandwiches continues its expansion with its third location, set to open this fall. Yogurtland will also open at the center.
IRVINE, Calif. (Jan. 30, 2017) — Known for its inspired, chef-crafted sandwiches, Sessions West Coast Deli has signed a lease to open its third location at Woodbridge Village Center this fall. The new 1,160-square-foot restaurant will feature an outdoor dining patio and serve breakfast, lunch and dinner, including its critically acclaimed sandwiches, breakfast burritos and gourmet salads. Additionally, the deli will offer full barista service, along with a selection of beer and wine.
“Sessions has gained a cult-like following for its creative take on artisanal sandwiches and they’ll be a much-welcomed addition to the Woodbridge community,” said Dave Moore, president of Irvine Company Retail Properties.
Since opening its first location nearly three years ago in Newport Beach, Sessions West Coast Deli has become known for its scratch kitchen, where housemade sauces, sides, salads and soups are prepared in-house daily. All sandwiches and toasts are made to order with fresh, locally grown produce.
“We are really excited to come to Irvine—this is a homecoming for me since my family is from Woodbridge and I grew up shopping right here at Woodbridge Village Center,” said Matt Meddock, managing partner of Sessions West Coast Deli along with Partner Beckham Thomas and Executive Chef/Partner Max Schlutz.
Added Meddock: “Sessions brings something unique to the market by blending a menu of culinary-focused sandwiches in a relaxed environment. Our menu pulls inspiration globally while supporting our local community with the products we serve, from our bread from artisan baker, OC Baking Company, to our coffee, which is roasted a few miles away here in Orange County.”
Also coming to Woodbridge Village Center: Yogurtland, one of the most popular and largest frozen yogurt chains in the United States. Slated to open this summer, Yogurtland is known for its self-serve frozen treats with more than 200 different and customized flavors that are produced at the company’s own dairy plant in California.
Sessions West Coast Deli will be at 4736 Barranca Pkwy in Irvine, next to Corepower Yoga. Yogurtland will be at 4616 Barranca Pkwy, next to Barnes & Noble.
